You can use any weapon you summon with your Pact of the Blade feature as a spellcasting focus for your warlock spells. In addition, the weapon gains a +1 bonus to its attack and damage rolls, unless it is a magic weapon that already has a bonus to those rolls. Finally, the weapon you conjure can be a shortbow, longbow, light crossbow, or heavy.

This invocations have no level requirement, so they're available as soon as you can get them. While most warlocks can't get an invocation until level 2, races which offer a feat at 1st level allow access to these invocations via the Eldritch Invocation feat. Agonizing Blast PHB: Nearly every Warlock takes this.
Contractual Benefits New Pact of the Chain Eldritch Invocations
This is a follow up to the question: Are these homebrew attempts at recreating some blast shape invocations from 3.5e balanced for 5e? As that question explains, I wanted to convert some "blast shape" invocations from 3.5e to 5e, specifically those I recognise from the video game Neverwinter Nights 2 that don't already have equivalents in 5e: Eldritch Chain, Eldritch Cone and Eldritch Doom.

While I concede that I am biased in this matter, I think this invocation is fairly balanced. In my opinion, the costs of an invocation slot and the penalty for repeated splinter casting makes up for the added flexibility. Also even if you splinter cast as much as possible you still have less spell slots of lesser level than the other full casters.

Thoughts on homebrew eldritch invocation. Homebrew. Just for fun I've been thinking about creating an Eldritch invocation option: "Channeller of Agathys". You may cast Armor of Agathys as a first level spell, without consuming a spell slot. This spell counts against your spells known [edit: "or prepared"], but may also be cast using your class.
